چکیده

Ready-to-eat foods have become a global concern because they are source of income for low and middle-income people. Also, constitute the main food students lower to middle-level workers. However, lack knowledge about good processing practices results in microbial contamination that interferes with human health. Enterobacter Cloacae is one most common bacterial contaminants found ready-to-eat many countries. Therefore, purpose this research isolate biochemically identify E. cloacae using API 20E kit on Yogyakarta city its surroundings. Subsequently, 115 samples 10 types were collected from various locations isolation identification contaminant. The showed 7 be contaminated, processed egg products having highest level at 40%. This was followed by snacks packaged dairy 30% each, then skewered meatballs, other products, 20% 10%, respectively. Meanwhile, dumplings, potato assorted iced drinks not contaminated bacteria.

Isolation and characterization of Listeria monocytogenes isolates from ready-to-eat foods in Florida.

Of 3,063 ready-to-eat food samples tested, 91 (2.97%) were positive for Listeria monocytogenes, and lineage 1 strains outnumbered lineage 2 strains 57 to 34. Seventy-one isolates (78%) exhibited multiple antibiotic resistance, and an L. monocytogenes-specific bacteriophage cocktail lysed 65 of 91 (71%) isolates. Determining phage, acid, and antibiotic susceptibility phenotypes enabled us to ide...

Current Status of Antibiograms of Listeria ivanovii and Enterobacter cloacae Isolated from Ready-To-Eat Foods in Alice, South Africa

This study assessed the antimicrobial susceptibility of 51 Listeria ivanovii and 33 Enterobacter cloacae strains isolated from various ready-to-eat foods sold in Alice, South Africa. Isolates were identified using standard microbiological tests and further confirmed using API 20E and API Listeria kits. The disc diffusion technique was used to screen for antimicrobial susceptibility against 15 a...

Prevalence, Molecular Characterization, and Antibiotic Susceptibility of Vibrio parahaemolyticus from Ready-to-Eat Foods in China

Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the leading cause of foodborne outbreaks, particularly outbreaks associated with consumption of fish and shellfish, and represents a major threat to human health worldwide. This bacterium harbors two main virulence factors: the thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH) and TDH-related hemolysin (TRH). Additionally, various serotypes have been identified. The extensive use o...

Genotypic characterization and antimicrobial resistance of Listeria monocytogenes from ready-to-eat foods

Listeria monocytogenes is an important foodborne pathogen. The aims of this study were to determine genetic relatedness of L. monocytogenes isolated from ready-to-eat (RTE) foods in Malaysia. L. monocytogenes isolates from RTE foods were characterized by multiplex-PCR serotyping, REP-PCR, BOX-PCR, RAPD, PFGE, virulotyping and antibiotyping. Of the 32 L. monocytogenes isolates analyzed, 21 (65.6...
